QuantumNet took part in the 2026 edition of MECSPE, one of Italy’s leading events dedicated to technological innovation and the manufacturing industry. The company participated within the stand of MedITech, in the Cybersecurity pavilion, contributing to two discussion sessions focused on emerging technologies and digital security.

Quantum technologies: from research to industry

On March 5, NetCom participated in the talk “Quantum communications: from research to industry, the next leap in digital security”, a session that brought together companies, research centers, and stakeholders from the technology ecosystem to discuss the state of the art of quantum technologies in Italy.

The discussion provided an opportunity to explore the development prospects of quantum communications, the opportunities for technology transfer to industry, and the role these technologies may play in strengthening the security of digital infrastructures. Several ecosystem partners took part in the meeting, including QuantumNet, which is involved in the development and experimentation of advanced solutions for secure communications.

NIS2 and digital security for SMEs

On March 6, NetCom joined the panel “Leadership and digital security: what really changes with NIS2 for SMEs”, focused on the impact of the new European directive on the security of networks and information systems.

The discussion highlighted the main implications of the NIS2 Directive for the business landscape, with particular attention to small and medium-sized enterprises. Among the key topics addressed were the evolution of security governance, the importance of cyber risk management, and the need to strengthen the resilience of digital infrastructures.
